Title On the Generalized Thermodynamics in the Mechanics of Composites

Abstract W formulate basic principles of the generalized thermodynamics which provide a framework for the study of mechanical processes in continuous media, in particular, fracture processes. We formulate a criterion of long-term durability and a general thermodynamic criterion of fracture and indicate their relation to other known criteria. An averaging procedure is constructed for the problem of strength of composites whose components are described by physically nonlinear constitutive relations.
