| Abstract |
We consider the problem of interaction between an elastic plane with a
circular hole and an elastic circular disk of a smaller radius, both
surfaces being strengthened by coating (absolutely flexible but rigid with
respect to tension-compression). An integral equation of the first kind
with a difference kernel (with logarithmic singularity) is obtained for
the contact pressure. An approximate solution of this equation is
constructed by the Multhopp-Kalandiya method [1]. Numerical results are
described.
Previously [2], another method was used to construct a solution of the
problem of the indentation of a circular disk into the
boundary of a circular hole in an elastic plane, with its boundary
strengthened by coating. |
