Abstract On account of fine thermal, magnetic, electrical, mechanical properties of magnetoelectric materials, they have a wide range of applications in many engineering fields, such as sensors, magnetic field detection and microwave devices, where usually needs to consider the moisture and heat effects. The researches on hygro-thermo-magneto-piezoelectric (HTMP) media are of great significance. Based on the operator theory and generalized Almansi’s theorem, the two-dimensional general solutions of transversely isotropic HTMP media represented by six quasi-harmonic functions are obtained. An illustrative example is presented to account for the application of the general solutions obtained. Green's functions of a semi-infinite transversely isotropic HTMP elastic plane subjected to a line moisture source and a line heat source are analyzed. Unknown parameters of quasi-harmonic functions can be solved by the boundary conditions of the semi-infinite plane. The fundamental solutions of the semi-infinite transversely isotropic HTMP plane under the action of the line source can be obtained. The numerical examples and the contours of the coupled fields of semi-infinite transversely isotropic HTMP elastic plane are presented, and the variation regularity of moisture, temperature, stress, electric displacement and magnetic induction are discussed. The effects of the position of line sources on the coupled fields are also analyzed.
