Abstract The aim of the present work is to investigate the dynamical behavior of a variable mass smallest body in R3BP configuration under the assumptions that both the massive bodies are oblate, having effects of radiations and moving in the elliptical orbits. It is assumed that this variation in mass follows Jeans' law. We start by deriving Hill’s problem using some transformations and then we use the Meshcherskii transformations to evaluate the equations of motion and Jacobi quasi-integral for our model. From the obtained equations, we determine analytically as well as numerically, the locations of parking points in orbital-plane and off-plane. We also illustrate the projections for zero-velocity surfaces and examine the stability states for these parking points numerically.
Keywords generalized problem, variable mass, parking points, zero-velocity surfaces
