Abstract |
In this paper, we formulate an inverse problem of identifying the thermomechanical characteristics of a finite functionally graded cylinder by additional information measured on the outer cylinder surface on a finite time interval. Thermoelastic characteristics are considered to be variable along
the radial coordinate. The cylinder ends are thermally insulated and are under sliding termination conditions. The direct problem after applying the Laplace transform is solved based on the variable separation method and the shooting method. The numerical solution of the inverse problem is constructed
using an iterative process, at each stage of which the Fredholm integral equation of the first-kind is solved. |
