Abstract |
A contact problem concerning the vibrations of a punch with a flat base on the surface of a
heterogeneous layer is considered taking into account friction forces in the contact zone. The micro-structure of a porous-elastic layer saturated with a fluid is described by Biot–Frenkel equations; in the
contact zone, the Coulomb-Amonton law of friction is satisfied. The boundary value problem is
reduced to a difference integral equation of the first-kind for contact pressures. An approximate solution of the integral equation is constructed using a boundary element method. The effect of vibration
frequency and layer thickness exerted on contact stresses is studied by the example of an oil-containing
phenylone-based composite, whose mechanical moduli have been determined using micromechanical methods. |
