Title Wave Propagation in an Elastic Structure Modeling a Split Hopkinson Pressure Bar

Abstract The Laplace transform with respect to time is used to study the problem of loading wave propagation in a composite elastic structure modeling a split Hopkinson pressure bar. Experiments were performed to compare the theoretical and experimental results. The obtained results can be used as a basis for justifying the split Hopkinson pressure bar technique.
