Title Impact Self-Excited Vibrations of Linear Motor
Author(s) V.Ph. Zhuravlev (Ishlinsky Institute for Problems in Mechanics, Russian Academy of Sciences, pr-t Vernadskogo 101, str. 1, Moscow, 119526 Russia, zhurav@ipmnet.ru)
Abstract Impact self-exciting vibration modes in a linear motor of a monorail car are studied. Existence and stability conditions of self-exciting vibrations are found. Ways of avoiding the vibrations are discussed.
Keywords linear motor, resonance, self-exciting vibrations, impact, piecewise linear generating functions
