Abstract We consider the problem on the computation of aeroelastic transfer functions of an airfoil under vibrations in a compressible flow with the actual natural frequencies of the airfoil taken into account. The problem is reduced to a Neumann type boundary value problem for the scalar Helmholtz equation. We estimate the reliability of the computation results.
