Abstract |
In the framework of large elastoplastic strains, we study the dynamics of a solitary continuity defect under a jump increase in the pressure (impact loading) with its subsequent instantaneous removal (unloading). We note a high level of stresses formed near the defect, with can result in its "healing." |
