Title On circular oscillations in a system with threefold resonance
Author(s) A. V. Fomichev (Moscow)
Abstract We discuss the possibility of using an isotropic spatial oscillator as a two-degree-of-freedom gyros. We propose several algorithms for obtaining information about the orientation of the object bearing such a gyro and a method for stabilizing an oscillation shape that is unstable without stabilization. We compare the properties of systems performing circular and rectilinear [1] oscillations and find several significant differences, which appear, for example, in the problem of stabilizing the shape and in various results on the influence of same perturbations on rectilinear and circular oscillations.
