Title A modified method of asymptotic integration: application to the construction of the theory of orthotropic rods. Part 4
Author(s) Yu. I. Butenko (Kazan)
Abstract In [1-3], we applied the asymptotic method to the construction of a theory of orthotropic rods with an error of ε2. We formulated the internal problem and the boundary layer problems, obtained the conditions of the existence of decaying solutions of the boundary layer problem and on that basis, indicated how the boundary conditions of these problems can be separated. In the present paper, we suggest a unified method to show that the variational approach to the statement of the problem makes it possible to separate the boundary conditions without having resort to the conditions of the existence of boundary layer solutions.
