Title Load-carrying capacity of conical elements of acrylic windows with allowance for the volume buckling
Author(s) V. P. Lyanzberg (Moscow)
V. I. Shalashilin (Moscow)
Abstract Acrylic conical elements are basic parts of high pressure windows. The analysis of strength and load-carrying capacity of such elements is currently based on experiments and numerical methods of analysis of the stress state [1, 2]. For some parameters of the acrylic elements, a considerable discrepancy is observed between theoretical and experimental data. In the present paper, we consider models of the acrylic element that allow for the volume buckling and demonstrate better agreement with the experimental data.
