Title On the motion of a homogeneous rotating disk along a plane in the case of combined friction
Author(s) A. A. Kireenkov (Moscow)
Abstract By moving the origin of the coordinate frame to the instantaneous center of rotation, we integrate the relations for the force and torque of friction. Appropriate Padé approximations are constructed. A new qualitative fact is established that the instantaneous center of rotation lies on the circumference of the disk at the instant of coming to a complete stop, the slip and rotation velocities vanishing simultaneously.
