Title Combined loading of layered composites

Abstract The general theory of plasticity developed by A. A. Il'yushin is applied to composite materials. A generalization of the method of computer aided combined loading is proposed for inhomogeneous media with constitutive relations involving material functions which are discontinuous with respect to the coordinates. For layered composites it is shown that the dimension of the strain and the loading trajectories cannot exceed two, and therefore, the proposed theory is adequate.
