| Abstract |
The paper presents experimental data on complex deformation of thin-walled cylindrical shells. The material of the samples is structural steel with a carbon content of 0.45%. The results were obtained at the automated complex SN-EVM (Complex Loading – Computerized Test) laboratory of the Department of Resistance of Materials, Theory of Elasticity, and Plasticity of Tver State Technical University. The method of processing the results of experimental studies used in this work is based on the vector representation of stresses and deformations according to A.A. Ilyushin. Special attention is paid to approximating the stress reduction (dive) effect observed during a sudden change in the direction of the deformation process. Forecasting and mathematical modeling of the response to the process being implemented is carried out using approximations proposed by Professor V.G. Zubchaninov. As an example, a planar two-link deformation trajectory with a fracture angle of 135° is considered, corresponding to an abrupt change in the sign of torsion with the cessation of stretching after a preliminary proportional stretching with torsion. The analysis of the obtained results is carried out, and proposals are formulated to improve the accuracy of the applied approximation model. |
