Abstract This study presents a mathematical model in micropolar generalized thermoelasticity that accounts both photothermal and memory effects. The harmonic wave method combined with the potential displacement approach is applied to obtain analytical solution of the required problem. Furthermore, a homogeneous and isotropic semiconducting material (silicon) has been considered for numerical calculations.
Keywords Memory-dependent derivative, photothermal effect, normal mode technique, dual-phase-lag model, potential displacement approach
