Abstract |
The article considers problems of equilibria and stationary rotations of a heavy ellipsoid
body on an absolutely rough inclined plane. The contact of the body with the plane is pointlike and
occurs without slippage (nonholonomic constraint). All equilibrium positions of the ellipsoid are
found and their instability is shown in the spatial case, when perturbations of the body can occur with
rotation. It is shown that stationary body rotations on the rough inclined plane cannot be realized. |
