Abstract |
In this paper, following the formalism of thermodynamics, reversible and irreversible components of total deformations are accepted as thermodynamic parameters of state of the deformation
process. They are defined by formulating the appropriate differential equations of change (transfer
equations), whose flow terms determine the mutual influence of these thermodynamic parameters
during the process of deformation. In the transfer equation, the source is determined by two mechanisms producing irreversible deformations: viscous (creep) and plastic (plastic flow). The mechanism
of production of irreversible deformations changes at the elastoplastic boundaries from viscous to plastic, and vice versa during the unloading. Irreversible deformations are not divided into creep and plastic flow deformations; the achieved values of the former become the initial values for the subsequent
growth of the latter in new plastic flow conditions. When unloaded, the change occurs in the reverse
order. The problem of growth of irreversible deformations in conditions of viscometric deformation of
a cylindrical layer is considered as an example. |
