Abstract Linear bending of a cantilever bar under comprehensive pressure and longitudinal force is considered in static and dynamic settings. The transverse distributed force on the rod, which arises during bending as a result of the formation of the difference between the areas of the convex and concave parts of the surface, is taken into account. The compressive force can be constant in direction and change during bending. In particular, the tracking force is generated as a result of the action of pressure on the end section of the rod. A comparison with the classical problem of stability is given. The features of the simultaneous action of the forces of unchanging and changing directions have been studied.
