Abstract Based on the general case equations of motion of a net, equations of motion of a cylindrical net are constructed. Variants of wave propagation in the case of the elastic fibers-based net are determined. The problem of the propagation of unloading waves in a pre-stretched net is solved. The problem is solved by the method of characteristics. The problem is illustrated by calculations.
