Title Solution of the Kirsch Problem for a Plate Made of a Material with Nonuniform Thickness

Abstract The problem of the theory of elasticity on the uniaxial tension of a thin plate made of a material with nonuniform thickness and having a central circular hole is considered. In the classical theory of elasticity, this problem called the Kirsch problem is considered within the framework of a generalized plane stress state. In the present article, this problem is solved in spatial formulation using complex potentials. The basic relations of the method and its solution are given.
