Title Amplitude-Frequency Analysis of the Earth Polar Oscillation Process
Author(s) V.V. Perepelkin (Moscow Aviation Institute (State University of Aerospace Technologies), Volokolamskoe sh. 4, GSP-3, A-80, Moscow, 125993 Russia, vadimkin1@yandex.ru)
Abstract The dynamic analysis of the Earth pole oscillatory motion is used to study the gravitational-tidal mechanism of formation of the annual component of the process. The results of an analysis of the interaction between the fine resonance structure of the long-period perturbation and the diurnal and semidiurnal tides are used to derive equations for the amplitude and phase of the oscillatory process of six-year pole wobble.
Keywords Earth pole oscillations, tide, gravitational-tidal moment, annual oscillation
