| Abstract |
The 10th All-Russian Congress on Fundamental Problems of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics will be held in Nizhnii Novgorod, Russia on August 24-30, 2011.
The congress is organized by the Russian National Committee for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics and the Institute of Mechanics of the Lomonosov Moscow State University, the Ishlinsky Institute for Problems in Mechanics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Lobachevskii State University of Nizhnii Novgorod (National Research University) in collaboration with the Russian Federal Nuclear Center - the All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics, the Institute of Applied Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Afrikantov Engineering Experimental Design Office.
The Second All-Russian School of Young Scientists in Mechanics and a Session of the General Meeting of the Russian National Committee for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics will also be held within the framework of the congress.

Invited lectures will be presented at section sessions. Oral and poster presentations selected by the Organizing committee will be available at subsection sessions. One author can only take part in one presentation.
Abstracts will be accepted by the Organizing Committee until February 1, 2011. For abstract submission, authors should use the form available from the congress website (www.ruscongrmech2011.ru). Submissions must include a short abstract (no more than 500 characters) and an extended abstract (two A4 pages) of the presentation. The short abstracts of the accepted presentations will be published in the congress proceedings and the extended abstracts will be available from the congress website and on CDs in the PDF format at the time of the congress.
