Title |
Use of the conformal group in the theory of inertial navigation |

Abstract |
The 10-parametric Galilei group is extended to a 13-parametric group, which
is used to derive the nonrelativistic equations of ideal operation of a
strapdown inertial navigation system with a gravitational variometer. In
the relativistic setting of the inertial navigation problem, one has to
extend the 10-parametric Poincaré group to the 15-parametric conformal
group. We present the determining relations of the conformal group and
derive the relativistic equations of inertial navigation. |
