Abstract The aim of this study is to investigate the influence of an asymmetry of the fluid flow through the end faces on the perturbation torque in a pendulum floated accelerometer. This investigation is based on formulating and solving a hydrodynamic problem. As a result, a constant component of the hydrodynamic torque is found and its numerical value is determined.
