Title A method for numerical solution of complete singular integral equations with complex power-law singularities
Author(s) A. V. Andreev (Moscow)
Abstract A method for the direct numerical solution of complete singular integral equations of the first and second kinds is developed for the case where the solution has a complex power-law asymptotic behavior at the ends of the interval of integration, in particular, arbitrary integrable complex singularities. On the basis of the expansion of the solution in terms of the eigenfunctions of the problem and utilization of special functions, the solution of the singular integral equations is reduced to the solution of a system of linear algebraic equations. A number of numerical results are presented. The numerical solutions are compared with the analytical ones.
