Title On the stressed state under plastic strain near surfaces with edges
Author(s) M. Ya. Brovman (Tver)
Abstract When determining stresses in problems of cutting and wedging of solids or crack propagation in solids, one often considers the stressed state close to surfaces with edges, e.g., near protrusions with corners or near holes or notches [1-3].

Surfaces forming an acute angle at the vertex (or a zero angle if they touch each other) are used in mechanics of cracks [2]. Elasticity theory sometimes predicts infinite stresses at such points. In a number of problems, one takes into account the onset of small plastic regions near crack tips [2, 3].

These problems are important in the analysis of metal delamination in thick plate rolling [4]. The solution of the problem on the flow past a corner formed by two straight lines is given in [5].

In the present paper, we consider rigid-plastic flows about surfaces with edges in curvilinear coordinates.
