Abstract Ishlinskii [1] considered the limit condition of a perfectly plastic space under indentation by a spherical rigid punch (the Brinell test). We consider a self-similar solution of the problem on the oblique indentation of a perfectly plastic half-space by a rigid regular n-gonal pyramid under the full plasticity condition taking into account the contact friction on the faces. The problem models the rigid pyramid hardness test. Self-similar solutions of the problem on the perpendicular indentation of a rigid triangular or square pyramid allowing for the contact friction on the faces are given in [2, 3].
