Title Numerical analysis of plane motion of a ball in a cycloidal cavity between two movable supports
Author(s) V. P. Legeza (Kiev)
Abstract Dynamic equations governing plane motion of a homogeneous ball in a cycloidal cavity between upper and lower movable supports are formed on the basis of Appel's nonholonomic mechanics. The system moves in the gravity field and is subjected to an external kinematic excitation. A numerical analysis of the behavior of this system is carried out for a typical set of initial data and parameters of the system.
