Abstract |
An asymptotic method based on solutions of the equations of
anisotropic elasticity is used for the investigation of
solutions of axially symmetric problems for conical shells.
The behavior of the solutions is
examined both in the interior of the shell and
near its edges. An asymptotic expansion is obtained for homogeneous solutions
describing a transversely isotropic conical shell of variable thickness with
various types of boundary conditions on the edges of the cone.
On the basis of qualitative analysis, the character of the stress-strain state is
explained. |
