Title Dynamic Behavior of Piezoelectric Bi-Material Strip with a Semi-Salient and a Cavity under SH Guided Wave

Abstract In this paper, the problem of a salient and a cavity in a piezoelectric bi-material strip is studied by Fourier series expansion method, and SH guided wave is considered as an external load acting on piezoelectric bi-material strip. Firstly, on the basis of Green's function method, a harmonic out-of-plane line source force is applied on the vertical boundary of a strip. With the aid of the "repeated image superposition", the expression of scattering wave is established, which satisfies the stress free and electric insulation conditions on the upper and lower horizontal boundaries. Then, the bi-material strip is divided into two parts along the vertical interface, a pair of anti-plane forces are applied on the vertical interface, and the first kind of Fredholm integral equations are set up and solved by applying orthogonal function expansion technique and effective truncation. Finally, the effect of SH guided wave is studied. Results clarified the influence on the dynamic stress concentration factor and electric field intensity concentration factor under proper conditions. Besides, the analytical solutions are compared with the finite element solutions to verify the accuracy of the conclusions in this article.
