Abstract This paper is dedicated to the mathematical modeling of torsional surface waves in a heterogeneous monoclinic crystal cladded with a void type porous layer and gravitating viscous-sandy-elastic semi infinite substratum subjected to imperfect corrugated boundary surface. The model is solved analytically by using an implicit separable variable technique together with a Whittaker's function and Bessel's functions. This study focused on the determination of dispersion equation constituents from displacement components of the media by using suitable boundary conditions. The isotropic limit tests expose strong symphony together with the isotropic results attainable in literature. Detailed analysis through numerical simulations and graphical illustration of the dispersion equation includes discussion on the various rheological parameters such as shape of the irregular surfaces, Biot's gravity parameter, sandy parameter, heterogeneity parameter, dissipation factor etc., on the dispersion curves of torsional wave.
Keywords torsional surface wave, corrugation, void-pores, heterogeneity, viscosity
