Title A version of the theory of multilayer curvilinear rods
Author(s) M. U. Nikabadze (Moscow)
Abstract We consider a parametrization of each layer in a multilayer plane curvilinear rod domain on the basis of two reference curves by analogy with the paper [1]. The use of several reference curves in the parametrization permits one to describe the variation of the stress-strain state in this domain along the thickness more precisely. Moreover, if, when considering multilayer flat curvilinear rod structures, the face curves of the layers are used as reference curves, then one can take into account the character of interlaminar contacts more realistically.

We state a kinematic hypothesis giving rise to a theory of multilayer plane curvilinear rods. From the resulting virtual work principle, the equations of motion and equilibrium and the corresponding boundary conditions are derived, and also interlaminar contact conditions are written out for the full contact of the layers. Furthermore, concise forms of the equations and the boundary conditions are given.
