| Abstract |
We consider the plane and axisymmetric contact problems for a three-layer
elastic half-space. The plane problem is reduced to a singular integral
equation of the first kind, whose approximate solution is obtained by a
modified Multhopp-Kalandiya collocation method. The axisymmetric problem
is reduced to a Fredholm integral equation of the second kind, whose
approximate solution is obtained by a specially designed collocation method
at the Legendre nodes. For these problems, examples of computation of
typical integral characteristics are given. |
