Title A problem of optimal shock isolation of elastic objects
Author(s) V. A. Prourzin (St. Petersburg)
Abstract A problem of optimal shock isolation of elastic mechanical objects is stated and investigated. The mechanical model of the object is represented by a set of linear oscillators attached to a common platform. The peak displacement of the platform is required to be minimized by the choice of the control force of the isolator, provided that the maximum response spectrum of the oscillators is constrained. It is shown that the shock isolation problem for any elastic object in the case of translational motion can be reduced to the aforementioned statement. A solution is constructed in the case where the maximum response spectrum is constrained uniformly.
