| Abstract |
We examine strong bending of a pipeline span when being lifted by an external concentrated force. The weight of the pipe and that of the transported fluid, the forces due to pressure and velocity of the fluid, and the axial displacements at the end cross-sections of the pipeline are taken into account. Parametric analysis is performed. The results obtained on the basis of the linear and the nonlinear theories are compared. |
