Title Equistressed membrane shells of revolution formed by continuous winding of a reinforced tape

Abstract We consider membrane shells of revolution loaded by a uniform internal pressure and formed from a composite material by continuous winding of a tape. The tape woven from parallel fibers is arranged symmetrically with respect to the shell generatrix. The familiar solutions determining the equilibrium shape of the surface of the shell and its thickness were obtained previously under the assumption that the width of the tape was small. In the present paper, these solutions are extended to the case of a tape of finite width which is utilized in real technological processes. Refined relations defining the surface shape, thickness, and structural parameters of composite shells of the class is question are obtained.
