Title Numerical analysis of the dynamical characteristics of laminated fiber-reinforced shells of revolution

Abstract A method is suggested for analyzing vibrations of laminated shells of revolution which have an anisotropy of general form. On the basis of this method, the natural frequencies and modes of one-, two-, three-, and multilayered shells made of a high-modulus graphite-epoxy composite, which are numerically calculated by using the heterogeneous and homogeneous models, are compared.
